I had the honor of painting the front and back covers for the new editions of Garth Nix’s Old Kingdom series. This is the first book SABRIEL.
These books are extremely popular, and I felt obligated not only to the publisher, but also to the fans to make the works as accurate as possible. I even got a costume made up for reference!

I’ve included a couple of unused roughs as well as a shot of the costume, modeled by the lovely Tess Frances

It was a true privileged to work on and I hope all the fans enjoy the work!
